Sometimes fruitarian recipes are great on a fully raw diet, especially when looking for a quick boost of energy. Throwing some fruit together makes for a very practical vegan diet and can keep you nourished throughout the day.
One of our friends at Hallelujah Diet sent this: "I take a lunch cooler, and keep it simple. I take some kind of fruit - whatever is in season or available. I do physical work 10-hours a day, 5-days a week. I bring enough fruit for breaks and lunch, and have salad when I get home. The advantages are that the fruit takes very little preparation, while giving me the energy I need to do my job. For instance, yesterday I had a nectarine for each break and two apples for lunch. The day before I cut a muskmelon in half, took out the seeds, and placed it in a gallon Ziploc bag. I just scooped out a little from one half for first break, ate the other half for lunch, and then ate what was left of the first half for last break. I HAVE BEEN EATING THIS WAY WHEREVER I HAVE WORKED FOR 22-YEARS, AND MY ENERGY LEVEL THROUGHOUT THE WORK DAY IS GREAT." ENJOY!
