The Doctor Within Is Under Your Control

In last week’s Health Tip we discussed the fact that God built into our physical body the ability to heal itself (aka the “doctor within”) — and that the things we place into the physical body can wound or cripple this internal doctor’s ability to keep us well.

 

It is important to understand that this internal doctor is not spiritual. It is controlled almost exclusively by physical laws, not by spiritual forces.

Sadly, in our Christian community, we want to continually place this physical body we each possess into the spiritual realm.

For instance, before most Christians eat a meal they pray a spiritual prayer to ask God to bless the physical food they are about to eat!

Likewise, when Christians get sick, the pray a spiritual prayer in which they ask God to heal their physical body!

I believe that most will agree that we Christians are continually trying to obtain control over our physical bodies by placing them into the spiritual realm.

Now, I am not saying that God cannot heal as a result of a spiritual prayer. But how many times have we prayed a spiritual prayer for healing and that spiritual prayer failed to result in the healing of the physical body?

And do you really feel that praying a spiritual prayer over the food is going to remove the toxic substances in that physical food?

Our Physical Body Is Controlled by Physical Laws

Our bodies are controlled by physical laws that God established. The law of gravity is an excellent example: Violate that natural law of gravity and you will quickly experience the consequences of that violation.

My dear friend, if we want to experience the ultimate health that God designed for each of our physical bodies, we must realize that the health of our bodies is almost totally dependent on the natural physical laws God has established:

“Be not deceived, God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” (Galatians 6:7)

 

And where do we find this natural physical law that God has established that controls the health of our physical bodies?

In the very first chapter of your Bible in Genesis 1:29…

“And GOD SAID, Behold, I have given you every herb (vegetable) bearing seed; which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat (FOOD).”

What Are You Feeding Your Internal Doctor?

Daily, with every swallow of food or drink we are weakening or strengthening our internal doctor. This may be difficult to comprehend, but it is none-the-less true! God has given each one of us almost total control of our personal internal doctor, and its ability to keep us in health or allow sickness and disease to proliferate.

What Goods Harm Or Cripple Our Internal Doctor?

1.    Refined Sugar – Every time we consume a food or drink containing refined sugar we are doing serious harm to our internal doctor. Refined sugar is an immune system suppressant. Large amounts of sugar are found in all soft drinks – approximately 11 teaspoons in every 12-ounce can. Energy drinks have even higher amounts.

Refined sugar is also found in candy bars, chewing gum, donuts, cakes, cookies, pies, pastries, most bread, and the list goes on. Refined sugar is also found in most processed foods on the grocery store shelf – ice cream and most breakfast cereals contain large amounts of refined sugar. Even yogurt and ketchup contain sugar.

The average intake of refined sugar by the average American of today is 50 teaspoons per person per day, or 170 pounds per year. Over 75 years, the average American is consuming 12,750 pounds of refined sugar during a lifetime.

Just 11 teaspoons of sugar a day (1 soft drink)  immobilizes your internal doctor (immune system) by about 33%. Consuming 30 teaspoons will immobilize it by nearly 100% for 24 hours!

Sugar is one of the greatest ways we cripple our internal doctor and prevent it from protecting us.

2.    Refined Grains – Refined grains such as white flour and white rice are carbohydrates that have had their fiber removed during processing.

Refined grains contain carbohydrates that break down into simple sugars extremely rapidly and are received by the body in a similar manner as refined sugar. Because they contain no fiber, refined grains also move very sluggishly through the body’s 30 feet of digestive tract, contributing to constipation and toxic buildup.

Constipation plays a huge role in the crippling of our internal doctor, because if toxins are not quickly eliminated by daily bowel movements, these toxins are absorbed back into the body and contribute to ill health.

Whole grains, on the other hand, because they still contain their fiber, break down much more slowly. Because they enter the blood stream much more slowly, they do not affect the body in the same way as the refined grains.

3.    Animal Flesh, Dairy, & Eggs – Every time we consume a piece of animal flesh, an egg, or a dairy product in the form of milk, yogurt, or cheese, we are doing damage to our internal doctor.

Animal foods contain varying amounts of fat. All this fat enters the blood system but not all of this fat exits the blood system.

The fats that do not exit start to build up on the interior walls of the arteries leading to high blood pressure. This necessitates stents and by-passes, and ultimately can cause heart attacks and strokes.

Statistics reveal that by eliminating all animal sourced foods from the diet we reduce our risk for a heart attack or stroke by 96%. There is no question about it – animal fats have a crippling affect on our internal doctor.

Another thing we need to understand about all animal source foods are they contain zero amounts of fiber. This lack of fiber causes these animal source foods to move very sluggishly through 30 feet of digestive tract.

Because the digestive tract is constantly 98.6 degrees, animal sourced foods putrefy, becoming the primary cause of body odor, colitis, ulcerative colitis, diverticulosis, diverticulitis, Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), colon cancer, as well as other colon and digestive problems.

Animal source foods are the cause (or contributing cause) of the majority of physical problems, including but not limited to – heart attacks, strokes, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis, asthma, allergies, acid stomach, and heart burn.

Animal source foods also contribute to an excess of protein, which is a contributing cause of cancer. Excess protein also feeds cancerous cells!

It doesn’t matter if these animal source foods are coming from organic or commercial sources; they all do serious harm to our internal doctor.

4.    Other Substances – There are other things that we need to be aware of: caffeine, nicotine, marijuana, alcohol, all over-the-counter and doctor-prescribed drugs, refined white table salt, hydrogenated oils, trans-fats, MSG, food dyes, and more, all have a negative and weakening affect on our internal doctor.

There is a song we teach our little children which goes like this:

Oh be careful little ears, what you hear

Oh be careful little eyes, what you see

Oh, be careful little mouth, what you say

Oh, be careful little hands, what you do

Oh, be careful little feet where you go

Oh, be careful little mind what you think

Oh, be careful little heart what you love

AND CONCLUDES “For the Father up above is looking down in love”

I would like to add another verse to that song:
Oh,
be careful little (and BIG) mouth what you eat

How Modern Medicine Treats Physical Problems

When a person goes to the doctor, that doctor usually does not seek out the cause of the physical problem. Modern medicine dictates that the doctor treats the symptom — usually with a drug. And in cases of cancer, to more modalities: radiation and surgery.

Drugs do not have the power to heal. Instead, they have the power to alter the natural programming of the body to heal itself — thus interfering with our internal doctor’s efforts to heal us. Radiation has no power to heal us either, but rather burns both sick and well cells. Nor does surgery have power to heal, but rather removes the part of the body that is sick.

God did not place any spare parts into the body when He created it. Every part has a purpose. When we harm a part through drugs, radiation, or surgery, we do damage to the integrity of the body. This makes it ever more difficult for our internal doctor to perform its God given ability to heal our sick bodies.

Now Let’s Go Into A Hospital

A person in hospital not only needs to recover from their sickness. Often their body’s natural healing abilities must fight an uphill battle due to hindering effects of “treatment” consisting of drugs, radiation, or surgery. Furthermore, the only food this struggling body receives is loaded with the very substances that caused the physical breakdown in the first place!

How To Empower Your Internal Doctor

God programmed self-healing into bodies of Adam and Eve. This self-healing has been handed down in our DNA from generation to generation and ultimately to you and me.

  1. Reverend Malkmus, I loved your example of the law of gravity to illustrate the physical laws (established by God) with which we all must comply — or be ready to suffer the consequences.

    The main problem in our society is that most people haven’t been told God’s physical laws regarding our diet as you have laid out so clearly in this week’s Health Tip — and for the last fifteen years. Unlike most medical doctors and others within our health care “system,” you have removed the confusion and made it perfectly clear what we should be eating in order to take charge of our own health.

    On the other hand, our vast interconnected “system” of government, science, medicine, industry and media continues to favor “confusion over clarity” as Dr. Campbell described it in The China Study. Last week, a cover article by Dr. Oz appeared in the “special nutrition issue” of TIME. In my opinion, America’s most famous doctor took “confusion over clarity” to an all-time record level.
