In last week’s Health Tip we began an article on erectile dysfunction (ED). This condition is becoming an issue of increasing concern in husband and wife relationships as well as reproduction. Because it is, in most instances, a diet and lifestyle issue, I felt it only fitting we address the issue using the teachings of the Bible and what we have learned through the years as the solution.
Last week, you read a number of letters people had sent me regarding the subject, along with biblical foundations and the statement that “almost every erectile dysfunction problem can be corrected by a simple diet and lifestyle change, without the use of dangerous drugs.”
But before I share how to correct the problem, I want to make sure that all reading this realize that this information is only for the use of those men who are married to one woman. In no way am I sharing this information for the use of those who would use it outside of the marriage bed, a bed being shared by one man (the husband) and one woman (the wife).”
The Causes of ED
There are three primary causes of ED: vascular disease, diabetes, and drugs. There is a fourth category of less common causes: hormone imbalances, neurologic conditions, surgery, radiation, and psychological conditions.
1. VASCULAR DISEASE – Arteriosclerosis, the hardening and narrowing of the arteries due to fatty deposits on the arterial walls, causes a reduction in blood flow throughout the body and can lead to impotence. It is frequently associated with age and accounts for 50 – 60% of impotence in men.
Cause of vascular disease — Isn’t it interesting that the most often cause of erectile dysfunction is the same thing that causes most heart attacks, strokes, high blood pressure, need for stents, by-passes, and nearly half of all deaths! And what is it that causes most of these problems? It is found in the diet most people consume each and every day: the fat in animal products.
When a person consumes anything of animal origin, whether it is flesh or dairy (cow milk and cheese being the worst) they are placing animal fat into their body. These products leave deposits of fat on the interior walls of the arteries. As the deposits build up, they hinder blood flow to various parts of the body.
It is reported that children as young as 4 years of age are already showing signs of this condition, while autopsies of young soldiers from the Vietnam war have shown arterial blockages as great as 50%. These soldiers were only 18 or 19 years of age. In Health Tip #665 I wrote a long article explaining how this process takes place.
Solution – The simplest, least expensive and safest thing a husband suffering with ED can do is to stop the consuming of all foods containing animal fat and switch to a 100%, mostly raw, plant based diet, with an abundance of freshly extracted raw vegetable juices.
In most instances, this simple diet change will initiate a body cleanse that will start to remove the fat build-up on the arterial walls. As the arteries shed this fat, blood can being flowing more freely and, within months, the symptoms of ED should start to improve.
Where do you find a diet free of animal fat that will bring about such exciting results? Friends, it is found in The Hallelujah Diet, a diet patterned after God’s original Genesis 1:29 diet that has already made it possible for multitudes of people to recover from over 170 physical and psychological problems.
God did not create Adam with an ED problem — nor did God design the male body to ever experience this problem!
God told Adam and Eve to “be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth” and obviously this instruction could not have been fulfilled if men through the ages had symptoms of ED. In fact, if man had continued to follow the instructions God originally gave concerning diet in Genesis 1:29, man would never have developed the problem we today call “ED.”
2. DIABETES – Chronic high levels of blood sugar associated with diabetes often damages small blood vessels and nerves throughout the body. This can impair nerve impulses and blood flow necessary for erection. Some 60% of men with diabetes experience impotence.
Cause of Diabetes – The most often cause of diabetes is the same as the cause of most heart attacks and strokes – fat! This fat, found primarily in animal source foods, coats the cells of the body, preventing insulin from breaking through to the insulin receptors within the cells.
Solution – When a person stops placing foods containing this fat into their body, the fat coating the cells begins to sloth off. This enables insulin to reach the insulin receptors within each cell, eliminating the need for additional insulin. At this point the person ceases to be a “diabetic.”
Hundreds of people who have adopted The Hallelujah Diet have written to tell me that after they removed these fat laden animal products from their diet and started exercising, their diabetic condition simply went away.
After a person stops placing animal fat into their body, blood flow almost always improves, nerve damage is repaired, and erectile dysfunction becomes a thing of the past.
3. DRUGS – Over 200 prescribed drugs are known to cause or contribute to impotence, including drugs for high blood pressure and high cholesterol, antidepressants, tranquilizers and sedatives. Alcohol is another drug that affects the vascular and nervous systems and is associated with ED.
Prolonged tobacco use (smoking) is also an important risk factor with regards to ED. Because smoking is associated with poor blood circulation, it must be considered as a contributing factor to ED. Mind-altering drugs such as marijuana and cocaine have also been implicated.
Cause of Drug Use – As I said earlier, every physical problem has a cause! Sadly, in today’s society, doctors prescribe drugs rather than seeking out the cause of a physical problem. This only deals with the symptom, and often creates new and frequently even more serious problems.
In the case of the person with high blood pressure, rather than seeking the cause of that high blood pressure, and removing the cause, drugs are prescribed. These drugs do absolutely nothing to remove the cause of the high blood pressure; they only with the symptom.
No matter how many drugs a person takes, if that person continues to consume fat laden animal products, they will have to be on blood pressure medicine the rest of their life, while the fat build up continues. This often leads to the need for stents and by-passes, and too often an early and untimely death.
In the case of the person with the diabetic condition, if they continue to consume a diet laden with animal fat, their cells will continue to experience the blocking action of that fat and they will have to remain on insulin the rest of their life while the fat build up continues, often resulting in blindness, limb loss, and early death.
Solution – If the third leading cause of erectile dysfunction is drugs, the simple solution would be to stop taking these drugs. But you say,”if I stop taking these drugs the symptoms will continue to manifest and that could be dangerous.” That is true! So what can a person do to stop the need for these drugs?
If a person truly wants to stop taking these drugs, they can in most instances simply change their diet and lifestyle, and add exercise to their daily routine. Can it really be this simple? Yes! Almost every physical and even psychological problem being experienced today is caused by placing something into the body God never intended to enter the body or ever have to contend with.
Most people who adopt The Hallelujah Diet find that as they stop placing the substances into their bodies that caused the symptoms for which they are taking these drugs, the problems simply disappear and they no longer have need for the drugs.
We constantly receive testimonies for people who adopted The Hallelujah Diet and no longer have need of the drugs they had been taking – some for many years. One lady recently reported that after adopting The Hallelujah Diet she was able to stop taking all 35 drugs she had been prescribed.
I have thought of a number of ways to conclude this article, but the best way is to share two of the letters from last week’s Health Tip:
One letter is from a wife telling of how her husband’s erectile dysfunction was affecting their marriage and the other from a husband who had an erectile dysfunction problem but found help with this problem after adopting The Hallelujah Diet:
“Dear Dr. Malkmus, I am a little embarrassed bringing up and seeking help regarding this intimacy subject, but it is causing relationship problems in our home. My husband and I have always had such a beautiful loving relationship but now he is unable to perform and refuses to seek help. I am becoming increasingly concerned for our marriage and am seeking your help. Can the Hallelujah Diet and Lifestyle improve erectile dysfunction? If you can offer any help in this area it would be greatly appreciated.” Irene
“Brother George, Hallelujah! I was 84 years OLD and now am 84 years YOUNG. For years I have been unable to have a sexual relationship with my wife due to erectile dysfunction. But since adopting the Hallelujah Diet and Lifestyle I have my youth back and how sweet it is to once again be able to have a loving and sexual relationship with my wife. Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, and thank you Brother George.” Ben
