All I Want For Christmas Is…

After sharing 945 consecutive weekly Health Tips over nearly 20 years for 100,000 readers, I embrace this opportunity to reflect on my own journey as well as my core biblical and nutritional principles that I have tried to bring to you through my teachings, books, seminars, and weekly Health Tip messages.

While this may be my final, personal Health Tip that I bring to you directly, our dedicated Hallelujah Diet team is committed to continuing to share the most helpful and popular Health Tips each week.

So, please check for Health Tip emails each week. Some of our closest friends and followers of the Hallelujah Diet will also be assisting in sharing Health Tips consistent with our core principles. I, too, hope to step back in from time to time to pen new Health Tips for you, as this has been a lifelong passion.

In the meantime, please enjoy some of my personal, closing thoughts on Christmas and the biblical teachings devoted to living a healthy life for which I am most thankful.

Christmas is a wonderful and exciting time of the year for me – How about for you?

Christmas is a time of the year I have always enjoyed and looked forward to with great anticipation. As a child, I did not as yet know the true meaning of Christmas (the birth of the Saviour Jesus Christ), yet I still enjoyed the season greatly!

Many things that made Christmas very special to me as a child growing up – it was a time of family fun, fellowship, gifts and especially foods that mother only prepared at this special season of the year.

Many songs have been written concerning Christmas – some of them we still sing to this very day in our churches like “”Silent Night, Holy Night”, “Away in a Manger”, “Hark the Herald Angels Sing”, and so many more. And then there are the non-Christian songs like “I’m dreaming of a White Christmas”, “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth”, etc.

With Christmas only a few days away, I would like to take the beginning words of the song “All I Want for Christmas…” as the basis for a few thoughts I would like to share concerning Christmas 2015.

As far as I am concerned, the two most important questions a person can ever ask — and know the answer to — are:

  1. How can I know where I will spend eternity after this life ends?
  2. How can I live in health and free of sickness while still in this life?

Let’s answer these two questions in reverse order…

The Gift of Good Health

We live in a day where most people believe that health is something that you either possess or don’t possess, and there is little you can do to change these circumstances.

In most instances, this is absolutely not true!

In fact, sickness is not something God designed his human creation to ever have to experience. How do we know this to be true? Because the Bible tells us in 3 John 1:2…

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper, and BE IN HEALTH, even as thy soul prospereth”.

If God wants us to “BE IN HEALTH”, why then are so many sick?

Well, there are many reasons but, for this article, I will limit my thoughts to the physical reasons.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 139:14 — “I am . . . . wonderfully made” but the Bible goes on to say in Galatians 6:7 “Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

Most people are unaware that consuming foods that the Creator never intended to enter the body is the primary reason for most sicknesses. With the result being, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”

The Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 30: 19 — “I have set before you LIFE and death, blessing and cursing: therefore CHOOSE LIFE, that both thou and thy seed might live.”

Health and living a long healthy life thus become a matter of personal CHOICE!

Please remember what Galatians 6:7 says: “whatsoever a man (or woman) soweth, that shall he (or she) also reap.”

It will be 40 years ago this coming January 2016, that I will commemorate the moment when I was faced with a potentially life-threatening cancer at age 42, that I CHOSE as my treatment (instead of the conventional cancer treatments for my colon cancer) to change my diet from the Standard American Diet to God’s Original Diet as found in Genesis 1:29 — and to drink a lot of vegetable juices.

Because I made that CHOICE to change my diet, rather than accept the traditional medical modalities, my cancer was gone in less than a year. For the next 25 years, I did not experience as much as a cold, sore throat, headache, upset stomach, or even have need of a doctor or a drug.

This diet that restored my health later became known as the Hallelujah Diet.

Then, on July 12, 2001, I encountered a serious problem because of my foolishness. I placed my body under unbelievable stress, taking on a speaking tour in South Africa where I delivered seven seminars to an average crowd of 600 people over the course of just six days. I was in the air flying across the Atlantic Ocean twice and from city to city in South Africa for a total of 53 hours in all.

Shortly after returning home from that exhausting, 10-day speaking tour, I experienced a hemorrhagic stroke while speaking during a routine seminar at Hallelujah Acres headquarters.

Once again, medical modalities were refused and I again turned to what was now known as the Hallelujah Diet. The result was that I fully recovered from the stroke, and continued my seminars.

Today, as I approach my 82nd birthday, I am still experiencing life to the fullest in a strong and healthy body while still experiencing the health blessings of the Hallelujah Diet.

As we celebrate Christmas 2015, if it were possible, I would shout from the tallest building in the world, with a megaphone that could be heard around the world:

“You don’t have to be sick if you will CHOOSE to change your diet!”

The Gift of Eternal Life

The Bible tells us in Luke 2:7 that the Virgin Mary “brought forth her firstborn son, . . . and laid him in a manger.”

Just who was this “first born son” Mary brought into this world?

Luke 2:11 tells us just who this baby was: “For unto you us is born this day in the city of David a SAVIOUR, which is Christ the Lord.”

Approximately 33 years after His birth, as this baby (who was now a man) was approaching, we read that John the Baptist proclaimed, “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sins of the world.” (John 1:29).

Then we read in John 1:10 that though this SAVIOUR “was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.”

Sadly, though His coming was prophesied many years before His appearing, the Jews did not recognize Him when he came for who He was, and thus we read in John 1:11-12, “He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God.”

In Romans 3:23 we read: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” And in Romans 6:23 it says: “For the wages of sin is death.” Up to this point, we are in a terrible predicament, but then comes the rest of the verse the good news: “...but the GIFT OF GOD is ETERNAL LIFE through JESUS CHIST OUR LORD.”

Romans 5:8 informs us: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ diet for us.”

And in Ephesians 2:8: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves” it is the GIFT OF GOD…

The Gift of God

Please notice that, in the above verses, Jesus is spoken of twice as the “gift of God!” — but until a gift is received, it is not yet a possession.

That is why the Bible tells us in John 1:11-13: “He came unto his own, and his own received him not, but as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them who believe on his name: which were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

And so my friend, as we approach Christmas 2015, my question to you is: “Have you received this gift? This gift is available to all as the Bible so clearly states: “That WHOSOEVER shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Acts 2:21).

Once you have called upon Him in prayer, and in simple faith received Him into your heart as your Saviour, then you too can exclaim:

“Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift!”
~ 2 Corinthians 9:15

As we celebrate Christmas 2015, I am so thankful that on May 29, 1957 (58 years ago), at a Billy Graham Crusade Rally in Madison Square Garden, New York City, I asked in prayer for Jesus to come into my heart and life and save me. As a result, I received God’s gift of eternal life and a guaranteed home in heaven when this life is ended.

I also thank God that, 40 years ago, when faced with a potentially life-threatening cancer, I turned from this world’s way of nourishing my body with the SAD diet, to God’s Genesis 1:29 diet. God’s gift to me, through a simple change in diet, restored my physical body to wellness.

Dear friend, as we close this Christmas message, if I asked you for your wish list of “All I want for Christmas is…” — what would be at the top of the list?

If you are experiencing physical breakdown, why not choose health, by changing what you eat from the SAD diet of this world, to God’s Genesis 1:29 diet, and experience the gift of health.

And friend, if there has never been a time in your life when you received Jesus Christ into your life and heart as your personal Saviour, I pray you will receive the greatest gift ever offered to mankind:

“But the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE, through Jesus Christ the Lord.”
~ Romans 6:23

Hallelujah Acres is a Christian Ministry that teaches Health from a Biblical perspective! Hallelujah Acres is trying to help the Christian community (as well as anyone else who will listen) realize that God’s original diet, as given by God in Genesis 1:29, was God’s perfect plan for the proper nourishment of his human creation.

Multitudes have made this diet change that we teach here at Hallelujah Acres, and experienced normalization of weight, as well as the elimination of almost all their physical and psychological problems.

This Is My Final Health Tip

Again, two of the most important questions a person must know the answer to are:

  1. How to live in health in this life, and
  2. How to know I am going to Heaven when this life is ended

The answer to these two most basic questions has been a passion of mine that I have tried to share for the greater part of my life.

From 1961 to 1976, my life was totally involved in the Gospel ministry; I shared with folks how they could know that heaven was their future home. From 1976 until the present, I have shared with people how they could avoid sickness and live in health (while still sharing with people how they could make heaven their future home).

In 1992, I started sharing God’s health message through seminars. In fact, I was on the road for 23 years sharing “God’s Way to Ultimate Health” seminars all over the world — in the five largest cities in Australia, the five largest cities in South Africa, all the provinces in Canada and in most states in the United States. In November 2014, at the age of 80, I gave my last seminar in Charlotte, North Carolina.

In 1996, I started writing a weekly electronic Health Tip which reached a high of 100,000 readers. Even after retiring from my seminars a year ago, I continued to write the weekly Health Tip. The Health Tip issue you are reading is consecutive issue #945. Each Health Tip is equal to a large chapter in a book.

So, through these Health Tips over the last 18 years, I have written a book equal to 945 chapters.

In addition to all the seminars and Health Tips, I have written and published 5 books, with my first book “Why Christians Get Sick” with over a million copies in print. (Rhonda has written and had published 4 books containing recipes that support the Hallelujah Diet I have been proclaiming.)

In just a few weeks, I will celebrate my 82nd birthday. Neither my mom nor dad lived past their 65th birthday. My health is still good – Rhonda and I walk several miles each day and eat the Hallelujah Diet. But I must confess that writing a weekly Health Tip is beginning to be a burden to me and a source of stress — which is not good for my health!

And so this issue of my Health Tip, consecutive Health Tip #945, will be my last Health Tip. But we are not leaving you without a source of current information – my son Paul and his wife Ann also publish a weekly Health Tip which is called “Healthy Days with Paul and Ann”, available here.

It is a sad time to know that I will never get to hear you speak again in person. I live in NC and attended 3 seminars at HA and each one of them was a true blessing. I miss those times and pray the family will continue this ministry. Rev. Malkmus, you are such an inspiration to so many and God has truly blessed your family. I’m so thankful that there was a time in my life that I was able to meet you personally and experience the teaching “live” regarding the HDiet.

Love and prayers to all of you!
    Welcome, NC

  2. Dear Rev. Malamus,
We want to thank you for living your life in service to humanity and for dedicating your life to educating others. You have empowered us to take care of our health so that we in turn may continue to serve others.
Your never- ending joy and enthusiasm has been an inspiration to my family for many years.
We wish you and Rhonda many more years together in wonderful vibrant health and happiness.

Dear George, Thank you so very much for your faithfulness. You have impacted so many with your words and your actions. I am deeply in your debt and forever grateful!

  4. Candia Cumberbatch-Lucenius December 14, 2015

    Rev. Malkmus,

Thanks so much for all you’ve done and continue to do. Your life’s work has been so beneficial to many people, including myself and my younger sister.
In 2007, doctors told my sister they saw a 14 mm mass on her brain which was growing quickly – to 16 and 18 mm. Although that seemed small, because of where it was located she was already having vision problems and severe headaches, nausea and vomiting. I strongly believe in natural health and healing and believed God would heal her.
My husband and I did some research and came across the Hallelujah Diet online, which led us to the Hallelujah Acres Lifestyle centers. My sister and I spent 2 weeks at Lake Lure in NC with Tim & Anita Koch, which was a life-changing experience for us. The daily devotionals were so uplifting and following the HD was amazing.
When we arrived on Sunday afternoon, my sister looked so pale, and couldn’t even finish the introduction meeting – she was vomiting so much. I cried myself to sleep that night talking to God about healing my sister and believing we were in the right place for that to happen.
Six days later on Saturday morning we woke up with my sister exclaiming that she did not have a headache (after 2 years of complains) and her vision seemed clearer. She started to cough, went to the bathroom and spat out a ball of bloody mucus about the size of a quarter. We stayed on at the center for another week, and she never had another headache, no nausea or vomiting and continued to see clearly.
After going back to her home, she had a follow up appointment with her neurologist who insisted that they had made a mistake because they could see no sign of the mass on her brain anymore. He said that although they had already done 2 Cat Scans he wanted to repeat it and do an MRI, to double check. She refused because she knew she had been healed.
We are so grateful to you and thankful for your heart and passion to do what you’ve done and teach God’s Word. Although I have not been as consistent as I should be with the HD, I try to follow it mostly and continue to juice regularly (my sister as well); and have recommended it to many. I am looking into becoming a Health Minister in 2016, so I can better help myself and others live a healthier lifestyle.
As you move in retirement, just know that because of your work and dedication you have helped save many lives. God bless you and your wife richly, as well as your son and wife as they continue the work you started. I pray for blessings on the leaders at the Lifestyle Centers who do what they do as well.
The Hallelujah Diet is life-saving and life changing and I pray more people have the blessing of benefiting from it.
III John:3 Beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospereth.

  5. Rev. Malkmus,

You have made a difference in the world! You have impacted this world for good. Thank you for using your God-given talents to share His truth with everyone who will listen. God bless you and yours.

  6. Christianah Adepoju December 14, 2015

    Dr. Malkmus,
Although I have not the privilege of listening to you in person, but I read your first book Why Christians Get Sick long ago and I treasured it. This year, I discover the weekly Health Tips on my e mail and have really enjoyed them. I am transitioning to a vegetarian diet to improve and maintain my health. The Hallelujah Diet recipes has been very helpful. I intend to make good use of the services that your Ministry provides. My plan is to become a minister of health in original diet/medicine to my family and community in my retirement years. I am very grateful to you and many others for showing me the way back to Eden. I wish you and your wife vibrant health and happiness as you slow dawn to reflect.

  7. Thank you so much for introducing me to this lifestyle in 2001 when I was at the end of my rope. My family and future generations will forever be changed for the better because of your teachings. God bless you and your family.

  8. Chris Durkee December 14, 2015

Hi, George and Rhonda! I have been following you and your writings since October of 1994, when I met you in person at a lecture you gave at a church in Kansas City MO, so we go back a long way. I want to wish you both well as you embark on this new phase in your lives. You deserve a break. Enjoy your less-hectic schedule. The Lord has blessed you for all you’ve done over the years for people who are hurting and sick. Thank you!

  9. Mosunmola Otun December 15, 2015

    Dear Rev & Mrs Malkmus,
This is so touching! U have really impacted your World as the GOOD LORD gave you the enablement. Thanks so much for the vision accomplishment. Enjoy the rest of your lives as you already have good successors. Coming across the HD was the best thing after SALVATION that happened to me. GOD bless you!

  10. Joyce Parker December 15, 2015

Thank You for your Wisdom and Courage to do what is right in God’s sight, no matter what others say. You have been a source of Biblical encouragement as well as keeping us motivated to think about how we live our lives and what God wants for us. You have been a Blessing and God has Blessed you. Thank you is not enough to express how we truly feel, but we Thank You so very much. Well Done thou good and faithful servant.

  11. Paul Allred December 17, 2015

So very sad to know this is your last health tip. Rev. Malkmus, you were my first contact with the Hallelujah Diet. I can still remember to running to the stage. You made a lasting favorable impression that I shall never forget. May God continue to bless you and your wife in your future endeavors! Thanks so very much for a job well done!
