What’s Happening at Hallelujah Acres

This past week held lots of exciting opportunities for sharing the Hallelujah Health Message with others along with opportunities to rejoice at God’s goodness:

Tuesday, February 9th, I had the privilege of teaching two 1¼ hour Nutrition Classes at Gardner Webb University, a Christian University located in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. It was fun being back in the classroom and having opportunity to share God’s Health Message with the young people.

After the classes, I asked the instructor who had invited me to speak, if what I had shared with the students from the Bible regarding nutrition agreed with the text book they were using for the class. Her response was that nothing I had shared agreed with the text book. How sad!

Wednesday afternoon, February 10th, Kelly McCullen from UNC-TV was here at Hallelujah Acres to video a show for North Carolina Now TV. He ended up doing two shows for future viewing on Channel 33. In an email received the next day Kelly wrote: “I appreciated the Hallelujah Acres team allowing us (UNC-TV) to visit them in Shelby! Thank you for the hospitality and for making me a vegan for at least 3 hours. J

Friday, February 12th, we had the Grand Re-Opening of the Hallelujah Café with a ribbon cutting at 10:30. On hand for the ribbon-cutting was the press, the Mayor of Shelby, along with many Chamber of Commerce members and other city dignitaries, as well as a crowd of over one hundred well-wishers.

The ribbon cutting was followed by free samples of Café fare, a Happy Birthday Cake cutting at noon in celebration of this editor’s 76th birthday and Hallelujah Acres 18th anniversary. I want to thank the hundreds of people who showed up for the special day and for all the nice Birthday cards and email greetings that came in from around the world.
