The Most Dangerous Diets

In this Health Tip we are going to zero in on what I consider to be the most dangerous and destructive of all foods – animal sourced foods. Animal sourced foods, both flesh and dairy, are the cause or contributing cause of the majority of physical problems.

The Most Dangerous Diet of All

The diet that does the most damage to the human body is one that contains foods coming from an animal. It doesn’t matter what animal that food is coming from, whether it is the flesh or the milk of that animal, or even if it is organic.

All animal sourced foods are dangerous; as nourishment they have the potential of doing great harm to the body.

If it is true that animal-sourced foods are detrimental to health — and it has been scientifically proven that this is true — then we must conclude that any diet that promotes animal sourced foods is a dangerous diet.

And the greater the percentage of animal sourced foods contained in the diet, the more dangerous the diet becomes.

9 Popular Diets That Are Making People Sick

Do you realize just how many popular diets contain animal sourced foods? Any listing of dangerous diets would include not only the Standard American Diet (SAD), the diet most people in America consume, but also

  • The Atkins Diet
  • The Maker’s Diet
  • The South Beach Diet
  • The Blood Type Diet
  • The Jenny Craig Diet
  • The Zone Diet
  • The Weight Watchers Diet
  • The Nutri-Systems Diet
  • The Mediterranean Diet,

The list goes on and on.

Safer Diets

Vegetarian diets contain no meat (beef, pork, lamb, poultry, or fish), but do allow some dairy and eggs. A vegetarian diet is superior to those diets that contain flesh foods for a number of reasons, including:

  • They are naturally lower in saturated fat
  • They are higher in fiber
  • They are rich in vitamins and minerals
  • They nourish the body with immune-system-supporting and cancer-fighting compounds.

But there is a diet that is infinitely superior to even a vegetarian diet.

It is called a vegan diet.

The Best Diet for Your Health

A vegan diet contains no meat (beef, pork, lamb, poultry, or fish). It differs from a vegetarian diet in that it excludes all animal-sourced food products (such as eggs, cheese, milk and other dairy products.

Scientific research reveals that health benefits increase as the amount of food from animal sources in the diet decrease, making vegan diets the healthiest diets available to mankind today.

As revealed in the Bible, God’s original diet for his human creation was a 100%, pure vegan diet

The Genesis 1:29 Diet

To determine what diets are the best diets, containing the best fuels with which to nourish the human physical body, we need a standard to weigh all diets against! There is only one place we can go to find that standard, and that place is the Bible, The Word of God!

In the book of Genesis, we learn that God created Adam, the first human to walk the face of this earth, along with the building materials God used to create him:

“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”
~ Genesis 2:7

Next we learn that God planted a Garden

“And the Lord God planted a garden eastward of Eden. . .
~ Genesis 2:8

And what did God do next?

“And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the Garden of Eden, to dress it, and to keep it.”
~ Genesis 2:15

And finally we learn what God told Adam he should eat in order to properly nourish his God created physical body:

“AND GOD SAID, Behold, I have given you every herb (VEGETABLE) bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the FRUIT of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat (FUEL).”
Genesis 1:29

The Hallelujah Diet is a diet patterned after God’s Original Genesis 1:29 Diet. It is a diet comprised of 100% plant sourced foods., and because it contains nothing of animal origin, it is in the same vegan diet category as God’s original Genesis 1:29 diet.

4 Reasons Animal Sourced Foods Are So Dangerous

As we begin this exposure of animal products, the first thing I would like to bring to our attention is that the human body was not designed by God to efficiently handle flesh foods.

Man does not possess the kind of teeth necessary to rip flesh from the bones of an animal, effectively chew flesh foods, nor does man possess the highly acidic stomach acids necessary to digest flesh. Now for some other problems with animal sourced foods:

Reason #1 – Animal Sourced Foods are Devoid of Fiber

The digestive tract of man is approximately 30 feet in length and has many loops, pockets and bends. The digestive tract of the human body was designed by God to move food rapidly through these 30 feet of digestive tract by means of FIBER.

Fiber is available exclusively in diets that are plant based. You will find abundant fiber in fruits, vegetables, seeds, and nuts. However, there is absolutely NO FIBER to be found in anything of animal origin – whether it be flesh or dairy. All animal sourced foods, whether it is flesh or dairy, are totally devoid of fiber.

The plant-based diet God told man he was to consume for nourishment (fuel) in Genesis 1:29 was loaded with fiber. When high fiber foods are consumed, they digest quickly, and being propelled by that fiber, travel through the 30 feet of digestive tract within 16 hours.

Flesh foods on the other hand, because they contain zero fiber, have nothing to propel that fiberless flesh through the 30 feet of digestive tract. Thus ,the flesh moves very sluggishly, taking as long as 3-4 days to complete the journey, before being removed from the body as feces.

Body temperature is approximately 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. In this kind of heat, flesh foods putrefy in the gut during their 3-4 day journey. The putrefying of that flesh is the primary cause of offensive body odor.

Furthermore, putrefying animal flesh is the primary cause of most colon problems – colitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), diverticulitis, diverticulosis, and colon cancer.

Here at Hallelujah Acres we have received testimonies of every one of these conditions going away after a person stopped the intake of animal flesh and adopted a 100% plant-based diet.

Note that those with severe colon conditions may have to start with vegetable juice only, then work their way up to raw vegetables so that the colon can heal in order to properly deal with raw foods.

In fact, this is where the high intake of vegetable juices, which have had all fiber removed before consuming, comes to the forefront. As the fiberless juices provide the body with the building materials to heal the colon lining, it isn’t long before that individual can usually introduce fiber back into the diet in the form of blended salads and smoothies.

Reason #2 – Animal Sourced Foods Are Highly Acidic

Acidity in the blood is measured by pH levels. The pH scale runs from 0 to 14, where zero is 100% acidic while 14 is 100% alkaline. Neutral is 7.0. If the pH of the blood drops below 7.0, and into the ACID zone – we die.

The pH of our blood is approximately 7.35 on the pH scale, which means that our bodies were designed by God to be alkaline-dominant. In fact, disease proliferates in an acid environment, but has a very difficult time surviving in an alkaline environment.

Animal sourced foods (flesh & dairy) are acidic, while plant sourced foods are primarily alkaline. This is why God’s original diet includes no animal sourced foods.

Care2, an online information resource for healthy living, covered this subject recently and listed eight health problems triggered by excess acidity:

  1. Excessive amounts of acid deplete oxygen which is essential for life
  2. It damages your cells’ energy centers and they don’t have enough energy to function properly
  3. Excess acid is stored in tissues and joints, causing damage over time.
  4. Excessive amounts of acid can damage cells, including brain cells.
  5. High acid levels create a breeding ground for bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens.
  6. Excess acid can damage organs and glands,
  7. Excess acidity overburdens organs like the kidneys and the liver, making detoxification difficult
  8. Acid depletes alkaline mineral stores in the body, particularly magnesium from muscles and calcium from bones.

Loss of calcium is another problem associated with acidity. Calcium is the greatest source of alkaliminity in the body. So in an effort to neutralize acidity and prevent death, the body actually goes into the bones and teeth and starts extracting/leaching calcium from the bones. This loss of calcium causes the bones to become porous, setting the stage for osteoporosis.

It doesn’t have to be this way. An alkaline vegan diet, along with load bearing exercises, will not only help prevent osteoporosis,it will usually restore bone density.

Reason #3 – Animal Foods Are Too High in Fat

The human body needs fat, but God designed humans to receive these fats from the Garden foods described in Genesis 1:29. Most plant sourced foods contain fat, with such foods as avocados, olives, seeds, and nuts containing the highest amounts of plant sourced fats.

Animal fat raises havoc within the body by building up on the arterial walls and hindering blood flow. When blood cannot flow freely, it causes the heart to have to pump harder to push the blood through that fatty build-up clinging to the arterial wall.

This fat is the cause of high blood pressure for which doctors prescribe medications. However, high blood pressure medication does not stop the fat build up on the arterial walls. So the next step is to insert stents surgically to prop open the artery to allow the blood to flow through. Ultimately, if fat consumption continues, it results in by-pass surgery or stroke or a heart attack.

Again, it doesn’t have to be this way. By simply eliminating animal-sourced foods, and animal fats in particular from our diet, and converting to a 100% plant-based vegan diet, we can reduce our risk of ever experiencing a heart attack or stroke by some 96%.

Reason #4 – Animal Foods are Too High in Protein

Our bodies need protein, and were designed by God to receive all its protein needs from the plant foods found in the garden. All plant foods contain protein in greater or lesser amounts. These plant-sourced proteins are good proteins and easily assimilated by the body.

If you stop to think about it, all protein originates in plants. Plant-eating animals — as mighty as a gorilla or elephant I might add — receive their protein directly from eating the plant, while carnivorous animals receive their protein by eating the flesh of plant-eating animals. When humans consumes the flesh of an animal, however, they are receiving that protein secondhand in highly concentrated form.

Our bodies were not designed to receive its protein in such a concentrated form. These highly concentrated forms of cooked animal protein are known to not only cause cancer, but also feed cancer. Concentrated and cooked animal protein is also the primary cause of arthritis, gout, and many other physical problems.

Avocados, beans, seeds and nuts are high sources of protein that do not cause these problems.

In Conclusion…

There is much more I could share here regarding the dangers of animal-sourced foods, but I would like to end on a more positive and, I hope, inspiring note.

I personally eliminated all animal-sourced foods from my diet nearly 40 years ago after being diagnosed with cancer. I became a 100%, Genesis 1:29, plant-eating vegan, and for almost 40 years since my only source of protein has been plant protein, my only source of fat has been plant fat, and my only source of nourishment has been foods found in the Garden.

As a result of making this diet change, my cancer simply went away. Now, as I approach my 80th birthday, I am still alive and well on planet Earth with a strong and healthy body with no physical or mental limitations or any indication of inadequate nourishment because I don’t eat meat.

are your sources for all the research? Where did you find that it has
been “scientifically proven that this is true animal-sourced food are
detrimental to health”? You also say that “Fiber is available
exclusively in diets that are plant based.” You can still get fiber from
mixed diets, intelligently combining both animal and plant-based foods.
And why would God give us permission to eat animals if they were all
bad? Why is a vegan diet only outlined before the fall? If it is the
best we can do for ourselves, why did God allow the consumption of

I don’t want to be rude, I’m just doubtful when there’s
no proof given and very curious why God would allow eating meat if it
    was so bad.

    Thank you for this article.

Stephanie, Try it before you make up your mine! I have wittnessed the vegan diet work in others too many times to doubt it. I am not a vegan but I don’t eat meat but about one time a week. I love my veggies and fruit, also nuts, etc. We can ask God questions later. He will let us quiz Him. In the mean time try the less meat routine and prove for your self.

    • Those are all very good questions, I had them myself. He does answer them, but for I am guessing he wanted to make the above article small and an overview. Both scientific research and the Bible answers the questions you pose, and the answers supports the vegan diet.

      • Stephanie June 18, 2013

Yes, but WHERE are the answers? Where is the research? Where was it published? Can you point me to a book or journal where I could read about it? You keep saying science supports the diet, but never give any references!

    • Always your choice. Who do you listen to? What are their motivations. We have become little frogs in the pot as it is being increased in heat. Who is doing the heat turn up?

      • Stephanie June 18, 2013

What? Are you speaking English? I’m not speaking in metaphors. I just want to know where I can find the research that supposedly proves that a completely vegan diet is the best way to go.

    • Hi Stephanie,
In the article the author put a link to The China Study Community website. Although I cannot speak for the author of this article, I would say that the book The China Study would be a good place to start when examining the research correllating animal sourced foods and disease. On Dr Joel Fuhrman’s website there are also lots of articles with references to scientific studies looking at that same correlation. In interest of full disclosure, I am not completely vegan myself – though I have drastically reduced my consumption of animal products based on the research I have seen.

      • Stephanie June 18, 2013

Thank you so much for finally giving me a coherent answer! And just out of curiosity, what do you substitute in your diet to make up for taking meat out? Does that just require eating more?

        • Yes, I do eat more volume than i did before – trying to focus on the most nutrient dense foods that I can. I eat more beans and legumes than I used to, as well as incorporating raw nuts and seeds – all of these help with satiety as well as providing lots of good nutrition. The beans are a great source of protein, though it did take an adjustment period for my body to get used to them.

Thank You for all you do to inform and heal us. Although I am all for a NO ANIMAL FOOD DIET, I believe GOD MADE ALL THINGS GOOD, including
The human body. We are created OMNIVOUR. This allows for all the changes
In the Earth environment and all the conditions Humans have existed in.

I AM A VEGAN AND HAVE BEEN FOR 12 years. The VIDEO ” In Search Of The Perfect Human Diet” , made by the PALEO DIET followers does seem to show that Humans ate a lot of MEAT !! I realize that brings up Creationist and evolutionist issues but it was humbling for me to see this. Many Human
Will NEVER give up animal foods nor should they have to. I just
Wish we could work together to bring more awareness and availability
Of fresh ,organic, affordable Produce. This will unfortunately not
Happen until subsudies for processed foods are eliminated or at least
    Extended to Organic Produce.

  3. What about the verses of the Bible that say it’s okay to eat meat? Starting with this…

Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for
    you. — Genesis 9:3

I agree that meat isn’t good for everyone, but the Bible actually warns us against people who say to abstain from meat.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils… commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. — 1 Timothy 1-3

You can back up any truth/untruth you want if you look hard enough. It certainly doesn’t glorify God to only speak half truths.

    • health for life July 1, 2013

These verses are found in chapter 4. It is talking about apostacy in the church. Not about diet. The word meat does not refer to animal flesh the word meat refers to food. Too often we take a verse or a few from the bible and use for our benefit. The bible needs to be ruead as to the context. What is the author actually referring too. For example in Acts 10 there is talk about Peter’s vision and allegedly the Lord telling him to kill and eat and the referenced animals were unclean and when Peter stated this the Lord said don’t call unclean what I have cleaned. If you read the whole chapter etc. Peter himself explains that God was reffering to Cornelius…not actual flesh eating. When God gave manna bread from heaven because it was the better choice. People like us today rebelled. They wanted the flesh pots of Egypt. God out of his kindness said basically if you are going to do this anyway…. eat these that are not as dangerous. God does not change for us…. Malachi 3:6. But in his mercy he tries to steer us to paths of lesser destruction. He does not force us to do what is right. He lives the sinner but hates sin.

Genesis 9:3 … read the whole chapter…verse 4 says “but flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. And surely your blood of your lives will I require.

Verse 3 …every moving thing that liveth shall be meat (food) for you: even as the green herb have I given you all things.

Throughout the bible we can read God’s command or desire for his people and you will always find the description of the rebellious. .. history has been written in hopes that we can learn from others mistakes. But our sinful nature makes us rebel and want to think that we are greater than God and we can bring him to our level. Truth is… if we obeyed the health laws found in the bible we would not be so sick, or loosing lived ones to cancer and so many other sad diseases.let us read and pray for guidance that we may not lead astray by others.

      • health for life July 1, 2013

Sorry for typos… my phone decided to auto correct…ruead… was read. Lives was suppose to read loves the sinner. Loosing lived ones was suppose to read loved ones. Last sentence… that we may not be lead.

  4. Life is always about choices. Knowledge is always welcome. Today we are being influenced by the Food Industrial Complex. Going Veggie/vegan does not guarantee complete freedom from illness, but it does not hurt.

So as an example, one can play in the street but it increases ones chance of getting hit. We get upset when someone suggests that we do not play in the street. Are there other options on where we play? Yes.

    Again your choice.

  5. Holly R June 18, 2013

I am a little dissapointed with this article, due to lack of citing your references. This diet is too powerful & has been around too long for it to be downplayed & to have generalized statements thrown into it’s articles. This will give it a bad rep in itself, whether it works or not. I’ve been vegan for 13 years, and became a HA Health Minister in 2006, & am now a CNHP. I’ve worked in the nutrition field for 11 years & now work as a nutritionist & therapist under a wonderful holistic doctor chiropractic internist/acupuncturist & more) at one of the largest wellness centers in the midwest. I only mention that because I see on a daily basis how labwork corresponds to specific nutritive & homeopathic supplements. THE HA DIET has been a great foundation for me, & keeps me lined up with truth as new theories come out. One claim this article does not back uo is the cholesterol link to animal fat. The body supposedly produces ~80% of the body’s cholesterol (IF you eat animal products..) hello straw is supposedly only acting like a temporary bandaid for the damages in the tissues in our body. & that’s where cellular nutrition comes in (juicing, nutrient dense superfoods, &, IF you eat animal products, organ meats..etc etc.) Then as the tissue & damage in the repairs, the cholesterol “bandaids” are no longer needed. & of course, eating less animal fat & heated oils yet boosting raw plant oils helps. THAT WAS AN EXAMPLE. Just don’t want you guys to go down in popularity because of lazy articles. Please think about 1st time readers & also well versed practioners & how this could be a turn off. Thanks.

  6. I have seen alot of people that did not eat meat and they are usually pale and very frail, God would have told us that eating meat is bad, I dont think we should eat alot of it but then again I know alot of very old meat and potatoes people.

I personally try to eat what God says is ok and try not to eat what He says is unclean. This is like those that believe that it is a sin to drink alcohol. when in fact it is not .but it is a sin to be a drunkard. The same goes for being a glutton, but it is not a sin to eat. I think and I am not a doctor or a scientist but our main health concern are things like GMO.s herbicides, preservatives, unnatural sugars, and many other foreign elements

    • healthy for life July 1, 2013

Not everyone that says they are vegan or vegetarian are eating healthy. In order to live this lifestyle one MUST know how to maintain a proper balanced diet. Those that are have nice skin and color …and look super healthy.
