Our trip began shortly after noon on Friday, May 2 in the rain, and it rained all the way to Tampa.
Fortunately our room had been reserved, so we had a comfortable place to stop and after we had placed our luggage in the room we had our veggie juices which Rhonda had made that morning and we had transported in our little cooler — boy, did that hit the spot!
We then went to the hotel’s restaurant for a baked potato and salad.
The next morning, I was in the hotel’s ballroom at about 8:30 where I found the Orcutts working hard to get things ready. Dave and Sherry Orcutt own and run the Hallelujah Acres Lifestyle Center in Plant City, Florida along with their daughter Amberlee and her husband.
We are so fortunate to have such dedicated people in our Lifestyle Centers who are willing to not only take people into their home and help them transition to the Hallelujah Diet, but help whenever they are called upon.
People started arriving about 9:00 a.m. and it was so good to greet many of our old friends, but it was also good to greet many people coming for the first time.
I was so pleased that, though it was a very rainy day, folks came from eight different states – Washington State, California, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Alabama as well as coming from all over Florida – some traveling great distances just to attend.
The seminar began sharply at 10:00 as I was introduced after prayer by the Orcutts. One of the first things I do in a seminar is ask those in attendance who have been on the Hallelujah Diet to share any improvements they have experienced as a result of making the diet change to the Hallelujah Diet.
As always, there were dozens sharing their improvements!
One woman had just started the diet a week earlier and sharing how much better she felt and the tremendous energy increase she was already experiencing.
A 15-year old boy who adopted the Hallelujah Diet for terminal brain cancer about a year ago was there with the rest of his family — cancer free!
I spoke for about two hours, then we had a drawing for some free books Rhonda and I had written and then I answered questions for almost another hour. When we finally got on the road about 1:30 we were thrilled to find that the rain had stopped, the roads were dry, and the three-hour trip home was a much easier trip than the day before on the trip down.
We arrived home a little before 5:00 p.m. (There is no place like home!). But it was a safe trip and a good seminar and we thank the Lord and all who prayed for safe travel and a good seminar.
One of the amazing things to me is that at age 80 I am still able to drive all afternoon through heavy traffic and rain on the way to the seminar, and the next day stand on me feet greeting the people and sharing the Hallelujah Diet health message for hours and then drive three hours home without any fatigue…
… and then go for a 2-mile walk after we arrived home!
I am convinced that if I was not on the Hallelujah Diet I could not do what I do at over 80 years of age.
My next seminar is scheduled for Saturday, June 7, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Hope to see you there!
