Cancer Patients: Stay Away From Sugar!

Dr. Russell L. Blaylock, M.D, in the December 2013 issue of “The Blaylock Wellness Report” had an interesting article on pages 10-11 regarding the relationship of sugar to cancer growth.

Dr. Blaylock begins his article by saying:

“Cancer cells are unique in that they can use only one type of fuel for energy: sugar. Fructose, glucose, and dextrose all fall into that category.”

God gave us a means of protecting ourselves from cancer ever developing in our bodies – a healthy immune system. When the immune system is kept strong through good nutrition, cancer has a very difficult time developing.

Our immune system is our body’s first line of resistance to cancer and if strong can prevent it from ever happening.

But once it has developed, there are two things we can do nutritionally to help our condition:

  1. Rebuild the immune system so that our body can better fight and win the battle; and
  2. Stop feeding the cancer that now already exists.

Here’s what Dr. Blaylock suggests if you already have cancer:

“If you have cancer, you have to severely curtail your intake of simple carbohydrates as well as sugar. This includes breads, pastries, biscuits, cookies, and all other carbohydrates listed on the glycemic index above a value or 50.”

What about carrot juice. Isn’t that pretty sweet or is the sweetness of a different variety? I love my carrot juice but have had cancer twice (before drinking juices).

The sugars to avoid are the refined types as Dr. Blaylock articulates. Carrot juice has been a part of my, and many other cancer thrivers, diet. As with anything, just don’t over do it.

Thank you Chris! I’m drinking two small glasses a day (at 10 am and 2 pm). Just had my first glass:-)
