Healthy Homemade Almond Milk (Makes 1/2 gallon)

With a little effort and patience, you can have homemade almond milk that's easier than the time and money you'll spend at any store! This freshly made milk lasts about one week in the refrigerator.

Fresh Ingredients

Raw almonds need to soak in warm water. Traditionally the water was salted and if you want to try adding some, we recommend Celtic sea salt or Himalayan pink salt. You can also cut the almonds in half for less rich almond milk if you find the taste is better.

Follow the Recipe

After allowing the almonds to soak for about 8 hours, draining and rinsing well, you'll finally be ready to combine the rest of the ingredients and blend into a creamy almond milk.

Ingredients

2 cups of whole, raw almonds
4 cups of water
Optional:
Celtic sea salt or Himalayan pink salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or 1 tbsp honey as sweetener

Directions

Blend dry ingredients to a powder in a blender.
Add vanilla, honey, and a little water to blend.
Add water to make ½ gallon of almond milk.
