Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Eat Microwave Food

It is convenient to throw some leftovers in the microwave if you are hungry, and many households use a microwave oven on a daily basis. People like the energy efficiency and fast results that can be achieved with a microwave, and it is considered a necessary appliance in the kitchen.

A microwave may be convenient, but there are some health factors that need to be considered. Even though "official" releases have stated that microwave ovens are safe to use, researchers have uncovered evidence which shows many reasons why you should be concerned about having a microwave in your home.

Why You Should Get Rid of Your Microwave
Here are some reasons why you should get rid of your microwave oven:

  1. Long-term consumption of food heated or cooked in a microwave can lead to brain damage because it causes electrical impulses in the brain to "short out."
  2. The microwave reduces the nutrients, such as minerals and vitamins that are in the food. So, every time you eat something that came from the microwave, you are missing out on the important nutritional benefits that were available before the food was put into the microwave.
  3. When vegetables are microwaved, the minerals are changed into free radicals which can lead to cancerous activity in your body if they are consumed.
  4. Eating microwaved food can impact hormone levels in both men and women. These hormonal changes can have a compounding effect over time, and might impact many other aspects of health.
  5. Microwaving food causes by-products to be present in the food, and the human body is unable to metabolize those by-products.
  6. Some researchers have suggested that there is a link between eating microwaved food and the increase in colon cancer rates in the United States. Microwaved food might increase the risk of intestinal and stomach tumors.
  7. Eating microwaved food can impact your blood serum levels and lymph glands, which affects your immune system functions. It is possible that microwaved foods can lead to immune system deficiencies.
  8. Concentration, intelligence, memory, and emotional stability all might be negatively affected by microwaved food.

As you can see, there are a number of potential health problems that can develop when you eat food that has been heated or cooked in the microwave. Even though your food might look normal, it has been altered by radiation and it is harmful to your health.

Well this blog certainly will cause to STOP and take notice of the dangers of eating food cooked or reheated in your microwave. It is so easy and convenient to use..BUT IS IT WORTH THE HEALTH RISK. Somebody must know what they are talking about.

  2. Most every household I know has a microwave for convenience. This article really makes you think about the risks associated with using them. I need to print this article to show all my friends.

  3. Who is the author of this article? Where are the supporting references to these “facts”? Are the “facts” listed based on any actual scientific or laboratory tests? The author makes 8 statements of “fact”, none of which have been proven or documented by any conclusive studies. Please classify these types of articles in the future as “Opinion Editorials” and not statements of fact.

  4. It would be very helpful if you added references to your article to support the claims made in the article.

  5. There are a lot of wild claims made in this article without any references to back them up.
I would be interested to read the sources of these in order to access these claims for myself.
    Do you have these references?

  6. I agree with Steve. If there are scientific studies to verify the points that were made in this article, then I will pay attention. Otherwise, it’s basically a he said/she said scenario.

  7. I heard that the important thing is what you cook your food in. So no plastics only glass or ceramic containers. Then the question is it still bad for you even if you use the right container. I don’t have the answer.

  8. I agree with Steve. These are strong comments and really need to be backed up.

I find this article so out of character for Hallelujah Diet. Eight alarmist reasons alleging danger in food heated by microwaves without any citations for references to support the claims. This article is not even rational. Very disappointing from a resource that is normally very reliable.

  10. Here is some more information about the dangers of microwaves:

    • Consumption of microwaved food appears to cause hemoglobin (red blood cell) levels to drop.
    • It causes white blood cell counts to drop, thereby damaging your immune system.
    • It destroys important phytochemicals. One study, for example, showed that microwaved broccoli lost 97 percent of its flavonoids, 74 percent of its sinapic acid, and 87 percent of its caffeoyl-quinic derivatives—these are all known cancer protectors. By comparison, steamed broccoli loses a mere 11 percent, 0 percent, and 8 percent of the same antioxidants.

Here is the most surprising fact of all:

What some people don’t realize is that the radiation continues even if the oven is only plugged in and not necessarily running. A woman measured hers and there was a minimum of a 6 foot radius out from the oven.
