It's Hallelujah Potluck Time!

It's Hallelujah Potluck Time!

During the months of May and June of this year, in the church where Rhonda and I are members, I taught an eight-week course titled “Biblical Nutrition 101”. The course was a huge success with an average weekly attendance of over 100. Well, this past Tuesday evening, July 16, our group held its first “Hallelujah Potluck." As you might imagine, a Hallelujah Potluck is a get-together where each family brings a dish compliant with The Hallelujah Diet to share with others. There were 61 people gathered in our church's Fellowship Hall for an incredible evening of healthy food, fun, and fellowship. The fun started at 6:30 as Rhonda demonstrated how to use a food processor by making her delicious carrot/pineapple/raisin/pecan salad, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed! At 6:45 it was time to eat — and a wonderful sight it was! We had four tables laden with the most beautiful, delicious, and health promoting Hallelujah Diet foods imaginable! Everyone was amazed at the variety of food and how great it looked and tasted. The highlight of the evening came next, as those gathered shared testimonies of how adopting The Hallelujah Diet helped them experience improvements in their health. To me, this was the highlight of the evening! One lady told of a 60-pound weight loss along with at least another dozen who had lost weight. Another told of improvement in Parkinson’s symptoms, while several others were able to come off insulin and other medications. Many more reported dramatic energy increases, along with so many other improvements I can’t remember them all! Guests were amazed! After the testimonies, we showed the first 30 minutes of Ed Foreman’s video: “Choose a Terrific Day”. Using the Biblical admonition found in Proverbs 17:22, “A Merry Heart doeth good like a medicine . . . .” those gathered learned the relationship of laughter to good health. (We're planning another Hallelujah Potluck on August 20 when we will show the last half of this great video!) The event was a tremendous success! Already, folks who were not in attendance tell me that they want to attend the August 20 Hallelujah Potluck and/or the next Biblical Nutrition 101 course, all happening at our church, Turning Point at Calvary (St. Augustine, FL). Here's the schedule:
  • Tuesday, August 20, 6:30 p.m. – Next Hallelujah Pot Luck
  • Saturday, September 14, 10:00 a.m. – “God’s Way to Ultimate Health” seminar (similar to my first Saturday of the Month seminars) will be held in the main auditorium of the church. This will be open to the public. Be watching for details.
  • Tuesday, September 24, 6:30 p.m. – First class of a repeat session of our 8-week Biblical Nutrition 101 Course
ATTENTION: Health Ministers! Your church is an incredible venue to share God’s health message. Have you ever considered teaching the Biblical Nutrition 101 course in your church or holding a Hallelujah Potluck? Your efforts in this direction could have an incredible effect on the health of the people in your church, while dramatically reducing prayers for sickness.
